This week happens to be Dave’s anniversary here at ASI.  We’re pretty spoiled having him around, as he’s quite the programming jack of all trades – and joke of all trades knower.  Bad joke?  Yeah, he would have a better one...

Let’s see what interesting things Dave’s shared with us…

  1. Favorite job growing up?  Working on a ski hill
  2. One thing you can’t resist?  Doritos or pretzels
  3. Favorite quote (movie or life, mantra)?  The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
  4. Favorite piece of technology you own and why?  My trail cameras. Interesting to see what’s all running around the woods…
  5. Any favorite line from a movie?  “Hot dogs! You know what they’re made of, Chet? Huh? Lips and a**holes!”
  6. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?  Juggle.  That or get over my fear of heights.
  7. What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?  Landscaping, gardening, bow hunting, turkey hunting, golf…
  8. What is the first concert you attended?  Heart. 1976 in Green Bay.
  9. What music is on your iPhone/Android phone?  Rush, Doobie Brothers, The Cars, Journey, Supertramp, Styx, Boston, Foreigner, Alan Parsons, REO, Dire Straits, DMB, Boz Skaggs, Clapton, Zepplin, ELO…  You know, the good stuff…  
  10. Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?  Alaska.  Can’t describe it; you just have to go there…
  11. What’s the last movie you saw that you really enjoyed?  Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle
  12. What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?  Anything off my pellet grill/smoker…
  13. What is your favorite family tradition?  One that’s long gone was familgetting together for Thanksgiving.  Aunt’sUncle’s,  Siblings, Spouses.  It was crowded but fun.
  14. If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?  Charlie Brown
  15. What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?  Get your act together…
  16. How did you first learn about ASII was hired as a Contract Programmer back in the early 2000’s and spent a year here doing development.  I also worked with some of the people here in the mid-1990’s at a  company called SDS. 
  17. What advice do you have for prospective ASI candidates?  Work hard and have fun…
  18. Are you messy or organized?  Organized.  Not OCD, but I know where my stuff is and where it goes.
  19. Top three life highlights?  Getting married, having kids, losing my Mom. Three things I won’t forget.
  20. What celebrity do people think you look like?  I’ve been told Jeff Daniels.
